Maximum Change (“we” or “us” or “our”) respects the privacy of our users (“user” or “you”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website or product site including any other media form, media channel, mobile website, or mobile application related or connected thereto (collectively, the “Site”).  Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. Data we collect: We only collect data that helps us help you. We will also never sell any information or data to any third party. Any data shared for research purposes will always be anonymous, raw data. We collect information about you during the course purchase process (PayPal and/or Square), as well as information relating to your course progression and/or quiz performance.

  1. What we collect and store. When you purchase from us, we’ll ask you to provide an email address. We’ll use this information for purposes, such as, to send you information about your account and order and to create your account for our Learning Management System (LMS). We store information about you for as long as your account exists. We store course progress, including completion status, quiz scores, assignments and/or essay submissions (if applicable). We will also store comments on courses, lessons, topics, assignments, and essays if you choose to leave them.

  2. Who on our team has access? Members of our team have access to the information you provide us. Both Administrators and Group Leaders can access order information such as your enrolled courses, course progress and username/email address. Any additional information added in your Website User Profile can also be visible to the administrator(s).

  3. What we share with others. We share information with third parties who help us provide our orders and store services to you.

  4. Payments. We accept payments through PayPal and/or Square. When processing payments, some of your data will be passed to PayPal and/or Square, including information required to process or support the payment, such as the purchase total and billing information.

The personal data we collect for marketing or content delivery purposes only when you opt-in for lists:

Derivative data is automatically collected when accessing our website so that we can understand our market and better serve clients.

The personal data we collect for Relationship Management is strictly used for keeping our contact database up to date and ensuring customer satisfaction. We also use this list for resolving support tickets and managing organizational relationships.

Technology Compliance: We only use third party applications that are GDPR compliant to ensure the safety of your data. This includes applications for marketing, relationship management, servers, and back-of-house systems.

Collection of Your Information

We may collect information about you in a variety of ways. The information we may collect on the Site includes:

 

  • Personal Data: personally identifiable information, such as your name, shipping address, email address, and telephone number, and demographic information, such as your age, gender, hometown, and interests, that you voluntarily give to us when you register with the Site or when you choose to participate in various activities related to the Site, such as online chat and message boards. You are under no obligation to provide us with personal information of any kind, however, your refusal to do so many prevent you from using certain features of the Site.

  • Derivative Data: The information our servers automatically collect when you access the Site, such as your IP address, your browser type, your operating system, your access times, and the pages you have viewed directly before and after accessing the Site.

  • Financial Data: Financial information, such as data related to your payment method (e.g. valid credit card number, card brand, expiration date) that we may collect when you purchase, order, return, exchange, or request information about our services from the Site. We store only very limited, if any, financial information that we collect. Otherwise, all financial information is stored by our payment processor, PayPal and/or Stripe, and you are encouraged to review their privacy policy and contact them directly for responses to your questions.

  • Data From Social Networks: User information from social networking sites, such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, including your name, your social network username, location, gender, birth date, email address, profile picture, and public data for contacts, if you connect your account to such social networks.

The above Data may be used to send you marketing communications about our business or products. The legal basis for this type of processing is either consent or our legitimate interests in growing our business. We may send you such communications if you requested it and/or if you agreed to receive such communications. You may opt-out of such communications at any time through the ‘unsubscribe’ button in each email or CONTACT US for assistance.

Any of the above Data may be used to deliver advertisements to you, including Facebook Ads, Instagram, and/or other similar advertisements. We may also use such Data to understand the effectiveness of our advertising. The legal basis for this type of processing is our legitimate interest to grow our business through marketing and advertising.

Having accurate information about you permits us to provide you with a smooth, efficient, and customized experience.  Specifically, we may use information collected about you via the Site to:

Sale or Bankruptcy

The Site may contain links to third-party websites and applications of interest, including advertisements and external services, that are not affiliated with us. Once you have these links to leave the Site, any information you provide to these third parties is not covered by this Privacy Policy, and we cannot guarantee the safety and privacy policies and practices (if any) of the third-party responsible for that website and should take those steps necessary to, in your discretion, protect the privacy of your information. Security of Your Information

We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information. While we have taken reasonable steps to secure the personal information you provide to us, please be aware that despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any interception or other type of misuse. Any information disclosed online is vulnerable to interception and misuse by unauthorized parties. Therefore, we cannot guarantee complete security if you provide personal information.

Controls for Do-Not-Track Features

Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems include a Do-Not-Track (“DNT”) feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. No uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this Privacy Policy.

Options Regarding Your Information

You may at any time review or change the information in your account or terminate your account by logging into user account settings and updating the user account. Upon your request to terminate your account, we will deactivate or delete your account and information from our active databases. However, some information may be retained in our files to prevent fraud, troubleshoot problems, assist with any investigations, enforce our Terms of Use and/or comply with legal requirements.

Emails and Communications

We comply with Anti-Spam laws. If you opt-in to receive our newsletter, marketing, or other communications, the option to unsubscribe will be included in every email. If we sell or transfer any of our business or assets, certain information about our clients may be a part of that sale or transfer. In the event such sale or transfer results in a material change to this Privacy Policy, we will notify you.

If you no longer wish to receive correspondence, emails, or other communications from us, you may opt-out by:

If you no longer wish to receive correspondence, emails, or other communications from third parties, you are responsible for contacting the third party directly.

California Civil Code Section 1798.83, also known as the “Shine The Light” law, permits our users who are California residents to request and obtain from us, once a year and free of charge, information about categories of personal information (if any) we disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes and the names and addresses of all third parties with which we shared personal information in the immediately preceding calendar year. If you are a California resident and would like to make such a request, please submit your request in writing to us using the contact information provided below.

If you are under 18 years of age, reside in California, and have a registered account with the Site, you have the right to request the removal of unwanted data that you publicly post on the Site.
